Technical Education is the backbone of the country and plays an important role in the development of infrastructural, industrial and economic growth. The technical education system provides the practical education to student so as to groom their personalities to such a level that they create a mark not only in the growth and development of our own country but also make a remarkable and positive dent in development knowledge economies of the world.

State Government, though Technical Education Department has taken many initiatives to improve the quality of education so as to make the Diploma holders employable from day one. Here, in Government Polytechnic, Sonipat, all Labs and Workshops are equipped with latest and modern machinery to impart practical knowledge to the students. We believe in to perform things practically in labs instead of doing spoon feeding.

The Institute has more than 250 Computer systems with latest configurations. The Institute library has a total collection of more than 35000 books and it subscribes magazines, E-Journals and News Papers to keep the students and teachers up to date in every field of science and technology.

The Institute is offering 08 Diploma courses with approximately 1800 students on roll under the guidance of matured, highly dedicated, experienced and qualified staff. The Institute is also offering 02 Diploma Courses for Speech & Hearing Impaired Students with an intake of 30 students each.

Our aim is to enhance the Employability of the youth by equipping them with latest technical skills for suitable employment through technical education.
